Swell Seawolf officially went live on mainnet earlier this week, and to celebrate, the team held a launch party.
More than 200 community members joined us as we unleashed our protocol on mainnet, and since then over 1,800 ETH has been staked with Swell.

Introducing Swell
Swell is a new and upcoming Ethereum liquid stalking protocol whose mission is to deliver the best liquid staking experience, and increase access to DeFi whilst securing the future of Ethereum.
The benefits of staking with Swell include:

- More rewards for staking. Swell is currently staking with zero fees
Live product demo
Our Product and Design Lead, Cheezel, provided us with a live product demonstration to show users how to interact with the Swell interface when staking ETH.
This included an introduction to our experienced Node Operator set, plus a walkthrough of our staking app.

Here are the top questions from the event:
1. How did we conduct security audits for the Node Operator contracts?
Swell completed a few rounds of auditing for all of our contracts, including the deposit manager and node operator registry. The complete Smart Contract Audit conducted by Sigma Prime is available to download.
2. Does Swell aim to focus on utilizing Layer 2’s in the future?
A part of Swell’s mission is to increase accessibility to staking and provide users with a seamless staking experience. Our initial focus right now is to continue building on the Layer 1 mainnet, with Layer 2s on our roadmap as we continue to explore different avenues to build on.
3. How will guarded launch users receive their staked ETH?
Users that staked with Swell during our initial guarded launch last year will receive their ETH back in swETH, along with their rewards that have accumulated throughout the staking period. This will occur in the coming weeks, with an official announcement to be released soon.
4. How long will the zero fee period last?
For a short period of time, Swell will be passing 100% of rewards back to the staker. We are continuing to actively review the period of time that the zero fee period campaign lasts.
